The Battle of Yavin. The most famous battle in Star Wars. It gave the beginning to the new age and was a culmination of the 4th Episode.

An analysis of the plans provided by Princess Leia identified a weakness in the battle station: a small thermal exhaust port which would allow access to a point that could cause a chain reaction that would destroy the battle station.

Rebel pilots were briefed by General Jan Dodonna on the plan. The Death Star's defences were designed for a direct, large-scale assault. By using small, one-man fighters, the Rebels would slip through the Death Star's main defences, manoeuvre down a narrow trench leading to the exhaust port, and insert proton torpedoes through the exhaust port.

With the Death Star approaching,Y-wings from Gold Squadron and X-wings from Red Squadron were dispatched to carry out the attack plan. The deployment of Imperial TIE/LN starfighters served to devastate the Rebel attackers, destroying them with far more speed and efficiency than the station's weapon emplacements had been able to.

Some time into the fighting, Imperial officer Jude Edivon aboard the Death Star identified the threat of the Rebels' attack strategy, and attempted to warn her superiors of the danger. However, Grand Moff Tarkin ignored the warning and refused to evacuate. Meanwhile, Darth Vader himself decided to lead a squadron of TIE fighters to destroy the remaining Rebel fighters.

The first attack run was performed by a trio of Y-wings from Gold Squadron. Led by Jon "Dutch" Vander, the three Y-Wings were shot down by Darth Vader. A second trench run was performed by a trio of X-wings from Red Squadron led by Garven Dreis. Dreis was able to fire off a shot at the exhaust port, but his proton torpedoes missed their mark. Before being shot down by Darth Vader, Dreis ordered that another attack run.

Following the final command of Red Leader, Luke Skywalker led the final attempt with Wedge Antilles and his old friend, Biggs Darklighter, as wingmen. Rushing down the trench at full throttle, they found themselves being tailed by Darth Vader and his fighters.

Vader personally damaged Antilles' fighter and destroyed Darklighter's X-wing, but had difficulty destroying Skywalker. Vader was surprised when one of his fighters exploded beside him. Han Solo, believed to have abandoned the Rebels before the battle began, unexpectedly returned to assist Skywalker in his most desperate moment.

Momentarily distracted by the intervention, Vader's remaining wingman attempted to protect Vader but accidentally smashed into his fighter, both spiralling himself into the side of the trench while knocking Vader away from the Death Star, allowing Skywalker to fire the shot that would destroy the Death Star

The Battle of Bespin took place in the time around the Battle of Endor during the Galactic Civil War.

The Rebel Alliance launched an attack on Cloud City. The battle raged both in the air and on the floating settlements of the gas-giant. It started at the capital, and moved outwards across the various gas-refineries as the Rebels continued to gain ground.

Down on the ground, Rebel soldiers captured the main carbon-freezing chamber and secured their command posts in the vicinity. The Imperial stormtroopers and snipers fell back under the Rebel's attack.

Capturing the main mining platform.

The SpecForce then moved on to capture the main Imperial mining platform.

The Rebel forces landed and secured the gas extractor, and pushed the Imperials back to the other side of the platform. The Rebel forces moved in and captured the Imperial docks and landing platforms, trapping them in the main command center. Y-wings bombed the building, X-wings destroyed Imperial starfighters before they could lift off, and the enemy numbers dwindled. Teams of SpecForce soldiers moved in on the command building and secured the mining platform. Although the Imperial garrison was attacked, the city was not liberated until after the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY.

The Battle of Endor was a defining battle of the Galactic Civil War, one in which the Alliance to Restore the Republic shattered the rule of the Galactic Empire and saw the destruction of the Death Star II and the deaths of Darth Sidious and Darth Vader. The triumph of the Alliance over the Empire, and the void left in the wake of the Emperor's demise, gave the Alliance the opportunity to give rise to the New Republic, which ultimately prevailed over the Empire in the Battle of Jakku one year later. The legacy of the Battle of Endor reverberated for decades after the fighting ended, including into the brewing war between the Imperial-inspired First Order and the Resistance that arose to combat it.

Ready to lead the planned attack on the second Death Star, Admiral Ackbar, from the bridge of the MC80Home One type Star Cruiser Home One, initiated the countdown to enter the Sanctuary Pipeline, and ordered all groups to assume attack coordinates. On his mark, the entire fleet jumped into hyperspace to arrive at the Endor system—all, except for Mon Mothma's ship, which after a moment, she ordered to take her to a safe hiding place to await news of the impending battle.

High above the moon, the fleet reverted to realspace with General Calrissian leading the charge aboard theMillennium Falcon, alongside his co-pilot Nien Nunb, and their gunners Lieutenant Blount and General Cracken. Using the comlink, Calrissian had all wing commanders of his strike force report in: Red Leader(Wedge Antilles), Gray Leader, and Green Leader (Arvel Crynyd). Upon their leaders' orders, all starfighter squadrons locked their S-foils in attack position to initiate the attack on the Death Star. However, as Nunb realised there were no readings about the deflector shield, and their transmission likely were being jammed, Calrissian broke off the attack as he correctly surmised the shield was still up, and the leading Falcon and T-65B X-wing fighters peeled away just before hitting the shield.

On the Home One, Ackbar ordered the capital ship to take evasive action, and that Green Squadron stuck close to holding sector MV-Seven, when one of his controllers informed him of the appearance of enemy ships in sector 47. As calculated by the Emperor, the Imperial fleet on the other side of Endor, composed by more than eleven Star Destroyers and possibly the largest flotilla of Star Destroyers ever assembled, shot out from their hiding place behind the moon, each one unleashing a swarm of TIE fighters, including TIE/LN starfighters,TIE bombers and TIE/IN interceptors against the Alliance Fleet. At the same time, the starfighter wings on rearguard mission (like Blade Squadron) had orders to cancel their mission and were reassigned to attack the Imperial fleet.

It was then that Calrissian ordered all fighter squadrons to accelerate to attack speed and follow him to the encounter of the Executor, in order to draw Imperial fire off their cruisers. The remainder of the Alliance Starfighter Corps and a horde of TIE fighters that rushed to meet their attack collided in a furious cloud of ships, laser bolts, and proton torpedoes, flying in, out, around and sometimes into the Star Destroyers, and mostly producing minor victories for the rebellion. However, the Destroyers themselves would not use their countless cannons to pick off the Rebel fighters, with rare exceptions. The commander of the Executor had the ship manoeuvred slightly away from the battle to have a clear shot at the Alliance cruisers, including Ackbar's command ship. However, on the Emperor's orders, Executor was to keep the Alliance Fleet from escaping only, although neither its commander or Admiral Piett knew why, and were eager to join the fight.

Aboard the Vigilance, Admiral Rae Sloane ordered Sapphire Leader Maus Monare to reposition their TIE fighters in a perimeter defense and had his controllers send targeting solutions to the turbo laser crews. Assuming a defensive posture, she complied with Piett's fleet-wide orders to hold the line and keep the Alliance fleet from escaping, aware that it was part of their Emperor's plan. Above them, interdictor cruisers awaited in position to block the Rebels' retreat

Under the watchful eye of Emarr Ottkreg, Sloane suspected something was amiss when her executive officer Nymos Lyle pointed out that the Rebel fleet was not retreating despite the Death Star's attacks. She asked Lieutenant Habbel to keep her appraised of the Endor garrison. Concurrently, the Vigilance’s Sapphire Squadron skirmished with Rebel fighters and went to intercept a trio of Rebel CR90 corvettes that had survived the passage between the Rebel and Imperial lines. As their laser cannon fired continual barrages at the same point of the Vigilance’s protective shields, Sapphire Squadron complied with its orders to engage the targets and fire at will, destroying the corvettes with help of the Vigilance’s turbo lasers. Meanwhile, Commander Ciena Ree took her TIE interceptor up over the main bridge area of the Annihilator, and cleared the top of the Star Destroyer.

The Battle of Jakku served as the decisive last stand of the Galactic Empire and final large-scale battle of the Galactic Civil War over a year after Endor, and was fought between the depleted forces of the Imperial Military and New Republic.

The battle of Jakku occurred one year and four days after the battle of Endor between the forces of the New Republic and the Galactic Empire. With the rebels aiming to capture a critical sector in the Galactic Civil War and receiving intelligence of an Imperial weapons facility on the planet, the Empire readily dismissed the notion of a rebel victory and sent a large portion of its now depleted Navy to combat the rebels over control of the planet in a battle that could change the course of the war. Due to the Empire's martial defeats across the galaxy, along with severe depletion of its military reserves, the barely settled planet would serve as a rallying point for the Order's shattered forces. With the Empire's command of many of the galaxy's major shipyards, Republic forces planned a bold move to capture the Imperial-class Star Destroyer Inflictor, sending Thane Kyrell, Kendy Idele and a number of former Imperials to board the ship and disable its hyperdrive and self-destruct mechanism, due to their knowledge of Star Destroyer layouts.

The battle would soon begin as New Republic warships initiated an intense assault. The battle, while tactically in the Empire's advantage from the beginning soon turned into a rout, with New Republic soldiers assaulting the concentrated Imperial positions from multiple sides at once both on the ground and in space. With the Imperials no longer having the martial advantage it once had in the years before Endor, flawed tactics as much as leadership gnawed away at an Imperial victory. With Imperial Captain Ciena Ree of the Inflictor about to contact Grand Moff Rand to suggest splitting up the fleet to combat the Rebel star cruisers from multiple angles, as well as sending twenty-gun raiders into the atmosphere to support the TIE fighters in orbit, her ship was suddenly boarded by New Republic soldiers. With no choice, the commander of the vessel attempted to activate the ship's self-destruct, only to discover that the boarders had disabled it. Seeing no other option, as well as seeing a way to leave the Empire she disliked while keeping her oath, Ree ordered her crew to evacuate and then scuttled the ship by crashing the Star Destroyer onto the surface of Jakku, sending shockwaves across the desert world. However before the crash, Thane Kyrell stunned and managed to carry her to an escape pod before the Inflictor crashed, bringing the Captain and miraculously his former lover into Republic custody.

With the battle turning against the Empire, Imperial ships began entering the planet's upper atmosphere in order to tighten their cordon, unleashing a fanatical defense to prevent the New Republic from capturing its secret research facility below. In a last-ditch effort, crippled Imperial ships began utilizing their tractor beams to drag Republic vessels into the sandy wastes. Upon impact with the surface, nearly the entire populations of the falling ships would perish. The battle soon ended when word of a peace treaty, the Galactic Concordance was signed. Nonetheless, the retreating Imperials ultimately managed to destroy their research base and weapons facility before jumping into the Unknown Regions. The battle had ended in a decisive defeat for the Galactic Empire.

The assault on Starkiller Base was a battle fought between the forces of the First Order and the Resistance, which took place approximately thirty years after the Battle of Endor. The battle was fought with First Order TIE fighters and ResistanceT-70 X-wing fighters. The goal of the Resistance fighters was to disable and destroy the Starkiller Base in order to prevent Starkiller Base, which was charging up its superweapon, from destroying the Resistance base on D'Qar and continuing a reign of terror.

With the shields down, Blue Squadron and Red Squadron, led by Poe Dameron as Black Leader, commenced their assault. All starfighter squadrons locked their S-foils in attack position to initiate the strike on the Starkiller Base's thermal oscillator. General Armitage Hux, seeing the fleet from outside, ordered to dispatch all TIE fighter squadrons. The X-wing fighter squadrons successfully executed one bombing run of the thermal oscillator, hitting it directly but causing no damage towards it, but then the TIE fighters were upon them. During the battle that ensued between the opposing fighters, a heavy cannon emplacement launched a missile that destroyed an X-wing fighter. With ten minutes left until the weapon became fully charged, half of the Resistance fleet had already been destroyed. The thermal detonators, triggered by Chewbacca, activated in the Base, and a new hole to the oscillator was visible to the fighter squadrons. Red Four and Red Six covered Poe while the rest of the squadron focused on firing on the target. As the squadrons soared through the trenches of the Base, Ello Asty's X-wing was shot down.
